Role Overview
We're looking for a hands-on UI Automation Engineer experienced in designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end automated test suites using Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Cucumber BDD. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and quality-first engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain UI automation frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Implement Cucumber BDD for behavior-driven test scenarios and readable test documentation.
- Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to identify automation opportunities and improve test coverage.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
- Execute and analyze test runs, log defects, and work closely with teams for quick resolution.
- Maintain robust test data management and ensure high stability of test suites across builds.
Required Skills & Experience
- 37 years of hands-on experience in UI Test Automation.
- Strong expertise in Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Solid understanding and implementation experience with Cucumber BDD (Gherkin syntax).
- Good knowledge of Page Object Model (POM) and reusable automation design patterns.
- Experience with API automation (REST/GraphQL) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Git), and cloud-based test execution.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, maintainable automation code.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
