Department- Simulation & Digitalization . Global R&D

Location- Chennai, 5 days working

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in simulation, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or project management capacity

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

- Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent. (preferably from IITs & NITs)

- Specialization in finite element analysis FEA, multi-body dynamics (MBD), or other simulation domains

- Knowledge Areas: FEA Numerical Methods, Product design principles, materials engineering, virtual validation techniques, and data interpretation

Purpose of job-

The Simulation Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing simulation activities to support product development, optimization, and innovation processes. This role provides critical virtual validation and performance insights for new designs, concepts, and product improvements before physical testing. By enabling data-driven decision-making early in the development cycle, the role directly affects product quality, development cost, and time-to-market.

Job role-

1.      Lead simulation and capability development:

Define and implement simulation methodologies, workflows, and best practices. Stay updated with technological advancements and ensure their integration into simulation processes to enhance virtual validation capability.

2.      Manage simulation projects and resources:

Plan, allocate, and oversee simulation projects across product lines. Ensure timely delivery of accurate, validated simulation results to support R&D, product engineering, and manufacturing teams. Prioritize tasks and manage simulation workload within available resources.

3.      Collaborate with cross-functional teams:

Work closely with other R&D functions to gather requirements, provide insights, and recommend design improvements based on simulation outcomes.

4.      Develop & Train team members:

Mentor and train simulation engineers and junior staff on tools, methodologies, and technical skills. Promote a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
