About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Test Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our products. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in automation scripting, API testing, and CI/CD integration, along with a deep understanding of software testing principles and Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium and TestNG.
- Write and maintain automation scripts using Java or Python.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate (BDD/Cucumber preferred).
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and manage version control using Git.
- Execute SQL queries to validate data and perform backend testing.
- Conduct functional testing to ensure end-to-end product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, perform code and test script reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging tools and technologies in the test automation and AI-assisted testing space.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in Selenium, TestNG, and API testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in Java or Python for test automation.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Solid foundation in functional testing principles and defect management.
Good to Have
- Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol), Cursor, or GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted test automation.
- Experience in BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Karate) and test reporting tools.
- Exposure to AI-driven testing or automation optimization tools.
