QA Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with over 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and a strong focus on automation testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing methodologies and automation frameworks. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Perform regression testing and ensure that existing functionality remains intact after changes.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor junior QA team members and provide guidance on best practices in automation testing.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in QA and automation.
Mandatory Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong expertise in automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# for test automation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Familiarity with API testing and tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
