About the Role :
One of our clients in the Wealth Management industry is looking for an experienced Manager, Test Engineering to lead its Quality Engineering function within the Advisor Platform Engineering organization. This leadership role will be responsible for driving the organization's quality engineering vision, managing multiple testing teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products that support advisors, operations teams, and enterprise business functions.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical expertise, people leadership, and strategic thinking to build scalable testing practices across manual, automation, and performance engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop multiple Test Engineering teams across Manual, Automation, and Performance Testing disciplines.
- Define and execute the overall Test Engineering strategy, ensuring comprehensive functional, automation, regression, integration, and performance testing across multiple product teams.
- Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, and Business stakeholders to align testing priorities with business objectives and product roadmaps.
- Drive continuous improvement of testing processes, frameworks, and quality engineering practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Establish quality metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to measure testing effectiveness, product quality, and engineering efficiency.
- Coordinate testing efforts across multiple Agile teams to ensure complete functional and non-functional test coverage.
- Lead the adoption and continuous enhancement of automated testing frameworks using technologies such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, Playwright, C#, Selenium, and other modern testing tools.
- Ensure seamless integration of automated testing within CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery while maintaining quality standards.
- Evaluate and introduce new testing methodologies, frameworks, and tools to improve efficiency, scalability, and product quality.
- Drive best practices for defect management, test documentation, reporting, and release readiness.
- Present quality metrics, testing progress, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and key business stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and engineering excellence within the Quality Engineering organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or Test Automation.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading and managing cross-functional Test Engineering teams.
- Strong experience developing enterprise-level testing strategies across manual, automation, regression, API, and performance testing.
- Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks including Playwright, Selenium (C#), Azure DevOps Pipelines, or similar technologies.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of defect management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the Financial Services, FinTech, Banking, Investment, or Wealth Management domain.
- Experience leading quality engineering initiatives for enterprise SaaS or customer-facing platforms.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud-native applications, DevOps practices, and modern engineering delivery models.
