Role Overview:
The Tendering Specialist will be responsible for identifying, preparing, and submitting tenders for infrastructure projects (roads, highways, bridges, urban development, etc.). The role requires a strong understanding of contract conditions, pricing strategies, government portals (like CPPP, IREPS, state e-procurement), and compliance with tender requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tender Identification & Evaluation
Track government and private e-procurement portals daily for relevant tenders.
Evaluate eligibility criteria, scope of work, and risks before participating.
Prepare tender synopsis and present feasibility reports to management.
2. Tender Preparation & Submission
Coordinate with estimation, design, finance, and legal teams for inputs.
Compile technical & financial bids as per client requirements.
Ensure timely submission of bids (online/offline) with complete documentation.
3. Cost Estimation & Pricing
Work with the estimation team to prepare competitive pricing.
Analyze BOQ, material, manpower, and subcontracting requirements.
Recommend pricing strategies based on competitor analysis.
4. Liaison & Coordination
Coordinate with government bodies, consultants, and clients for clarifications.
Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client interactions.
Follow-up on tender results and maintain relationships with authorities.
5. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain updated vendor registrations, certificates, and statutory compliances.
Ensure adherence to legal, tax, and technical documentation in tenders.
Maintain tender MIS reports, success ratios, and competitor insights.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Business Administration.
58 years experience in tendering/contracts in infrastructure/construction sector.
Strong knowledge of EPC, PPP, BOT tendering models.
Proficiency in government e-procurement portals (CPPP, IREPS, GEM, etc.).
Excellent MS Excel, MS Project, and documentation skills.
Key Skills:

Ability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Networking with government officials and industry stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong compliance mindset.
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Tender Success Ratio (% bids won vs. submitted).
Timely submission of bids without compliance errors.
Accuracy of cost estimates and profitability of secured projects.
Quality of market intelligence and competitor analysis reports.
