Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Technical Engineering support teams analyze, test, and assist in research for the development of products and processes. As a Technical Specialist I, you will play a crucial role in ensuring product compliance and handling conflict mineral requests for TE Connectivity's Global Business Units. You will supervise and coordinate material declaration requests, REACH/RoHS, etc., work with cross-functional teams, and support customers to meet compliance requirements across various applications and channels

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review part numbers against product drawings and check compliance status.
  • Enter material declarations in different formats and web portals.
  • Assist in Conflict Minerals reporting and template completion.
  • Attend regular calls with international requestors to provide project updates.
  • Prepare monthly reports to track team hours and project progress.
  • Interact directly with customers and TE affiliates to address compliance queries.
  • Lead and motivate a team of associates for daily operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency

Desired Candidate Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Polymer, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in product compliance and conflict minerals.
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of Engineering Drawings.
    • Familiarity with European directives and regulations (EU RoHS, EU ELV, REACH, CA prop 65).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
