Job Description

An established global semiconductor equipment manufacturer is seeking a Technical Project Manager to oversee engineering projects focused on customer-driven machine enhancements and platform modifications.

The Role

Rather than developing products from the ground up, this role manages the customization and continuous improvement of existing equipment platforms to meet evolving customer requirements. Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on schedule while balancing technical, commercial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects involving modifications and enhancements to existing semiconductor equipment platforms.
  • Gather and understand customer requirements, translating them into actionable project plans together with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical and software engineering activities to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, risks, resources and milestones throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive communication between R&D, manufacturing, business units and regional stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Take ownership of ongoing projects and see them through from engineering execution to implementation.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.

The Talent

  • Degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Automation Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in managing technical engineering projects, preferrably within the semiconductor equipment industry.
  • Candidates from semiconductor foundries with strong equipment project management exposure are also encouraged to apply.
  • Able to understand engineering concepts and communicate effectively with design engineers to drive technical decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Mandarin communication skills will be advantageous due to frequent interactions with customers and stakeholders across Asia.
