Teamcenter AWC (Active Workspace Client) Developer – Job Description

Job Title: Teamcenter AWC Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Teamcenter AWC (Active Workspace Client) Developer to design, develop, customize, and support Siemens Teamcenter PLM solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Teamcenter Active Workspace customization, BMIDE, ITK, SOA, and integration with enterprise applications. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable PLM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize Teamcenter Active Workspace (AWC) using declarative configuration and client-side extensions.
  • Design and implement custom UI components, commands, panels, tiles, dashboards, and reusable widgets.
  • Configure and customize XRT stylesheets, ViewModels, Views, Actions, and Data Providers.
  • Develop server-side customizations using ITK, SOA, Java, and C++.
  • Configure and maintain BMIDE data models, business objects, workflows, and access controls.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Teamcenter and CAD, ERP, MES, and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Teamcenter and AWC performance, configuration, and integration issues.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business users to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation and participate in Agile development activities.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Siemens Teamcenter development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Active Workspace (AWC) customization.
  • Expertise in BMIDE, ITK, SOA, and Teamcenter Data Model.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, XML, JSON, and React.js/Angular.
  • Knowledge of Java and C++ for Teamcenter server-side development.
  • Experience developing REST/SOAP services and Teamcenter integrations.
  • Strong understanding of BOM Management, Document Management, Change Management, Workflow, and Access Control.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Teamcenter upgrades and migration projects.
  • Knowledge of T4S/T4EA, NX integration, or CAD integrations.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerized deployments.
  • Experience with Teamcenter performance tuning and production support.
  • Siemens Teamcenter certification is a plus.
