JOB DESCRIPTION: Team Leader - ESG Fundamentals Data Ops

ESG Fundamentals Data Team, this team is focused on initiatives related to the collection of company reported ESG data. This team will be part of the Diverse Content Operations team and help grow the topics dictionary that defines coverage of ESG materiality metrics and assist in the development of AI-enabled collections tools.

The Team Leader provides guidance and direction to the team to ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of collected data. This function is responsible for administrative work including attendance, discipline, and performance management, acts as a back-up during the absence of the Manager and fills-in for other Team Leaders where required. The Team Leader identifies process and tool enhancement initiatives, coordinates with the Strategy team for development and makes sure the success of project implementation. As a people manager with a strong ESG background, the incumbent will build a team of content- and data quality specialists and collections analysts, run day-to-day operations of the team, and ensure efficient delivery of high-quality company-reported ESG metrics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operations Management:Responsible for ensuring that his/her team provides accurate and reliable content/financial and/or quantitative financial and non-financial market data to internal database and/or external clients based on various data sources, financial reports and resources. Ensures timeliness, accuracy and completeness of the coverage of their teams collection and drive actions to continuously improve the same.
  • People Management: Manage performance evaluation metrics and formulate, execute, monitor and assess motivation plans for enhanced employee morale and appropriate rewards systems. Build strong connection with team members, act as a mentor, motivate the team and lead by example.
  • Stakeholder Management: Works with Senior management and respective stakeholders to build plans and improvement strategies for greater output.
  • Workload Management: Prepares capacity planning, manages shifts and workload distribution. Drives goals through cross-production, shift and overtime requirement.
  • Workforce/Resource Management:Hires appropriate candidates to fulfill resources requirement.
  • Knowledge Management:Serves as escalation point for complex data quality-related queries, production and technical issues.Conducts spot check / detailed reviews of market coverage by Collection Analysts and provides qualitative feedback.
  • Project Management and Process Improvement Initiatives: Implements process improvement initiatives and projects and recommends product enhancements. Observes the values and principles around Business Enterprise Agility and Digital Transformation in handling projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Increased efficiency and effectiveness of collection and data quality with direct impact on business goals related to Data Quality/Assurance
  • Continuous improvement in our processes following the Agile and Digital Transformation principles.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's Degree on any of the following fields of study: Environmental Science, Corporate Governance, Finance, Commerce, Supply chain management etc., preferred but not required
  • Graduate of any of the following courses: Business Studies, Commerce, Science, Environmental Science, Corporate Governance, Finance, Supply chain management etc. In lieu of degree, will consider prior years of experience in team leadership, product and process management, hiring and training experiences, project Management, working with global clients in investment banking/management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge related to ESG, to company disclosed ESG data and key voluntary reporting and regulatory disclosure frameworks including SFDR, SASB, GRI, TCFD, and others
  • Demonstrate operational excellence firmly based on foundation of strategic thinking, though leadership, and cooperation in a matrixed environment
  • Team leadership, team management, and staff development of larger teams
  • Comfort with ambiguity and dynamic environments while understanding process and constraints of a large organization
  • Experience with data collection operations
  • Prior exposure to product development and working with software engineering teams a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with both local and English language
  • Minimum 5+ years of ESG and 2 year of people management experience
  • Basic Financial knowledge

  • Strong communication skills. A major part of the role involves sharing and receiving information.
