Primary Responsibilities
Operational Support: Assist in the day-to-day functioning of the visa department, ensuring smooth coordination and timely handling of visa-related tasks.
Visa Case Management : Manage end-to-end visa processing for high-priority and complex student cases, ensuring adherence to country-specific regulations and documentation standards.
Administrative Assistance: Support the Senior Manager with departmental administrative responsibilities and special projects as required.
Knowledge Sharing & Training: Conduct informal, case-based knowledge-sharing sessions with team members to promote best practices, without direct reporting responsibilities.
Destination Expertise: Serve as the in-house expert for one or more key study destinations (e.g., Canada, USA, Europe, Ireland), staying informed on immigration trends, embassy guidelines, and policy changes.
Visa Filing Guidance: Assist and guide visa officers in submitting applications via designated platforms such as VFS, AVATS, US Travel Docs and IRCC.
Internal Collaboration: Represent the visa team during internal review meetings to share destination-specific updates and strategic insights.
Reporting & Tracking: Maintain an up-to-date tracker for all assigned student cases and submit periodic reports on visa approval rates, processing timelines, and readiness status to the reporting manager.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with embassies, VFS centers, and immigration consultants or agencies as required to resolve case-specific issues.
Additional Responsibilities
Proficient in using MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and student management/CRM systems.
Strong written and verbal communication in English and Hindi along with an additional knowledge of any other regional language will be an added advantage.
Ability to handle a high volume of visa applications and work under pressure, particularly during peak seasons.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities to ensure that all cases are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements & Qualification
- Posses 6 years of relevant experience in handling student visa processes for destinations such as the UK, Canada, Australia, USA, or Ireland.
- Graduate or Post Graduate in any discipline (preferably in Arts, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication to deal with clients, universities, embassies, and other stakeholders.
- Capability to lead, train, and motivate a team of visa officers or counselors in the absence of a higher authority.
- Experience handling a variety of student visa applications (study, open work permits, dependent visas) for multiple countries.
