Tax Associate Director / Senior Manager

MKG is seeking an experienced Tax Associate Director/Senior Manager to join our growing team in a full-time capacity. Based in Downtown Tanjong Pagar, Central Region, this is a strategic leadership position that plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive tax advisory services to our diverse client portfolio. As Tax AD/SM you will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance, planning and advisory engagements whilst leading and developing a team of tax professionals. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and driving the growth of our taxation practice.

Key responsibilities

1. Leading and managing tax compliance and advisory projects for corporate and individual clients across various sectors and jurisdictions

2. Providing strategic tax planning advice to clients, identifying opportunities for tax optimisation and risk mitigation

3. Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns, including income tax, goods and services tax and other statutory tax filings

4. Advising on complex tax matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and international tax considerations

5. Building and maintaining strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for key clients and ensuring exceptional service delivery

6. Supervising, mentoring and developing junior tax staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence

7. Ensuring compliance with relevant tax legislation, regulations and professional standards

8. Contributing to the development and refinement of tax methodologies, tools and templates used across the practice

9. Staying current with taxation developments, regulatory changes and industry best practices

What we're looking for

1. A minimum of 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in taxation, with substantial experience gained in a professional services firm or in-house tax department of a large organisation

2. Professional qualification in taxation, such as being a member of the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals (SCTP), the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), or equivalent professional body

3. Demonstrated expertise in Single Family office corporate tax compliance, personal tax compliance, tax advisory and tax planning

4. Strong knowledge of Singapore taxation law and tax principles

5. Proven experience in managing client relationships and delivering advisory services to senior stakeholders

6. Proven leadership capability with experience in supervising, coaching and developing tax teams

7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

8. Strong project management and organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple complex engagements simultaneously

9. A commitment to professional development and keeping abreast of tax law changes and industry developments
