Systems T&C Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for complete system design engineering, verification, validation and day to day technical support to project.
• Lead Preparation, Review and Validation of Telecom Sub-System Documents viz. Desing documents (PDD & FDD), Interface plans & procedures (DID/DCID), various Test Plan & Procedure and Reports, O&M manuals, Training Manuals, List of spares, tools & test equipment, other technical documents & technical management plans etc.
• Work closely with CADD engineers & provide required inputs for preparation of various drawings viz. Equipment location & cable routing, Block wiring diagrams, CCTV coverage drawings, Radio coverage, etc. Monitor the progress, review the drawings & ensure timely submission.
• Review and Validation of Designs/drawings for all Telecom Sub-Systems.
• Responsible to ensure all system technical compliance with contract technical specifications. Review & maintain database of all system suppliers technical compliances. Report & resolve deviations if any.
• Responsible for maintaining & updating each systems detailed Bill of Material, Verification and Validation of System Requirements.
• Responsible to respond and address all technical queries and comments to client. Coordinate with system suppliers.
• Lead systems commissioning, testing and integration of all sub-system at site.
• Monitoring site testing progress, preparing T&C progress status, preplanning of the site testing activities.
• Lead and work closely with CADD engineer for Preparation of site related as built / red line documents and drawings.
• Coordination with other disciplines/contractors/Liaison with other departments to cater Technical Interfacing issues.
• Attend & lead technical meetings with client, other designated contractors etc.
• Report & control contract technical scope & follow change management process.
• Support to the Installation Team for Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Telecom Sub-Systems.
• To ensure correct manufacture and delivery of equipments in compliance with the technical requirements and BOM.
• Plan & execute systems testing schedule with client within specified timelines.
• Responsible to maintain database of systems testing status & close any open points within specified timelines.
• Support to DLP team if required.
• Report daily & weekly progress to Project Manager.
• EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET
• B.E/B-Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
• Minimum 6-8 years work experience in Metro railway Telecommunication systems & systems integration engineering.
• Telecommunication systems engineering knowledge viz. Gigabit ethernet, SDH, PAS & PIDS, Telephone, Radio, CCTV, Clock, CDRS, Telecom SCADA.
• Good understanding & knowledge on Gigabit ethernet, CCTV, & Cyber Security systems
• Experience in systems commissioning & testing.
• Experience in systems fault troubleshooting.
