The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Strong technical knowledge of Windows operating systems. Working knowledge of MacOS preferred
Installation, Imaging, Virtual Machines
Familiarity with desktop hardware and peripherals, such as printers, scanners, and mobile devices
Familiarity with common desktop applications like MS Office, other Microsoft applications like Teams, OneDrive, and Web Applications
Knowledge of remote desktop support tools, such as RDP or VNC or other remote-control tools
Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
Good problem-solving skills, and ability to think creatively to find solutions
Ability to learn new technology, applications and concepts quickly
Knowledge of using ticketing system, SLAs, and generating reports
Knowledge of cabling
Knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
Appreciation for process. Ability to document trouble shooting standard or troubleshooting steps and procedures
Excellent customer service, communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
Knowledge of best practices for security and data protection
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

First level support, for users of Trimodal Softech Solutions Pvt Ltd (Trimodal), to Workstation/Printers, Applications and End user services.
Provide support within the SLA and ensure end user satisfaction
Deliverables
Basic IT Asset Management (Acquisition to Disposal)
Assigning/revoking assets and recording the same in the database
Providing periodic IT Stock Report Trimodal
Coordinating for AMC of IT Assets
Leased asset life cycle management to refresh the end of life/support issues.
Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of of OS, Mails, Microsoft Office, other standard software and in-house applications (training will be provided for in-house applications) on Desktop / Laptop
Upgrade or downgrade hardware on Desktop / Laptop (eg: RAM, HDD)
Troubleshooting Desktop / Laptop OS issues including hardware. Predominantly HP PC Hardware.
Support for standard software issues
Isolate system issues; diagnose standard software issues and report hardware issues to respective team.
Installation / re-installation / configuration of systems, printers, scanners. Speech mikes, IP Phones
Configure desktop and laptop as per the desktop/laptop standardization policies of customer.
Installation / re-installation / configuration of in-scope client software / applications
Installation / configuration of e-mail clients
Troubleshooting e-mail client related issues
Troubleshooting printer / scanner related issues
Troubleshooting issues related to standard office software's (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and internet client
Support for local area network issues (LAN), DHCP client (Limited to configuration issues- No support for LAN devices)
Install antivirus software and check virus definition auto updates.
Install approved patches onto desktops / laptops.
Disconnection of desktops / laptops / printers / scanners.
Configure Print Queues for Servers / Users / Groups.
Troubleshoot print queue related issues.
Configure appropriate rights and permissions for accessing printers.
Remove virus from respective desktop / laptop with the antivirus software provided by customer.
Support one-time projects (desktop / laptop / printer / phone installation, configurations, deployments)
Support during occasional maintenance activities on holidays or weekends
Creation of basic documentation for user reference for one-time tasks (Excel / Word / PPT)
Remote Call Closure within Norms and timely follow-up of pending tasks / tickets
Manage IT Store
IT Vendor Management
Call logging and follow-up action with Vendors for warranty / AMC related calls
Submit daily, weekly and monthly summary report
Escalate to next level Technical Specialist if an issue is not resolved
Undertake any other related assignment
