Job Summary
Join Conserve and play a pivotal role in shaping a more sustainable future! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Manager to manage the execution of a high-profile project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a prestigious initiative and implement practical sustainability strategies. You will be the face of sustainability for the Main Contractor, ensuring the project adheres to the targeted green building standards.
Responsibilities
- Contractor Representation: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Main Contractor on all sustainability matters, effectively communicating with project stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and certification bodies (LEED, Mostadam).
- On-Site Implementation: Managing on-site implementation of sustainability measures onsite coordinating with the construction teams. Drive compliance with LEED BD+C and Mostadam requirements on-site.
- Material & Design Verification: Review material submittals, drawings, and commissioning reports to confirm adherence to sustainability principles and design intent.
- Sustainability Coordination: Organize and lead sustainability meetings, track project milestones, and compile all necessary documentation for successful construction-stage submissions.
- Green Certification Coordination: Liaise with LEED and Mostadam certification bodies to ensure timely and efficient project accreditation.
- Site visit: Perform regular site visits and facilitate external audits for the sustainability certification.
- Develop and manage sustainability documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to track progress towards sustainability goals.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in sustainability practices, technologies, and regulations.
- Champion sustainability initiatives and promote a culture of environmental responsibility within the project team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Architecture.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in executing and managing sustainability in construction projects.
- LEED AP BD+C accreditation is mandatory.
- Mostadam AP accreditation is preferred.
- Expertise in energy simulations using IES Virtual Environment (IES VE).
- In-depth knowledge of LEED and Mostadam rating systems and their on-site implementation.
- Strong technical expertise in Sustainability and Climate Change.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to influence and motivate project teams.
- Experience working in the Middle East region is a plus.
