We are seeking a highly skilled L3 Support Engineer with expertise in SUSE Linux. The successful candidate will provide advanced technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and work closely with our engineering teams to enhance system reliability.
Job Description:
Preferable : SuSE Linux certified (SCE) engineer.
Server & Linux Admin: Redhat Linux certified (RHCE) /SuSE Linux certified /professional for system support, OS maintenance support/configuration, monitoring resource utilization and administration . Linux OS (SLES/RHEL), Clustering Administration, cluster guard .
Knowledge Skill
Handling of OS related issues, installation of OS upgrades and patches, re-installing of OS if required, network OS support, monitoring server usage statistics, periodic system performance tuning, start up and shutdown of servers, addition, deletion, re-configuration of devices, additional users and printers.
Housekeeping of servers such as disk space usage, files and folders, permissions, users, login on network and e-mail system etc.
Implementing security on servers at all levels as per guidelines provided by client.
Managing Software with Command Line Tools
SuSE Manager
System Recovery and Snapshot Management, Booting a Linux System
SuSE OS Networking, IP Addresses and Routing,
Configuring a Network Connection , Setting up Bonding Devices, Setting Up Team Devices for Network Teaming. Managing Kernel Modules, Dynamic Kernel Device Management, Kernel Parameters,VM Guest in SuSE, Sharing File Systems, Configuring NFS Server, auto NFS
Depth Knowledge in Linux OS (SLES/RHEL), Clustering Administration.
HPE Serviceguard for Linux (SGLX) ensures 24x7 application availability by continuously monitoring the health of the infrastructure and other resources impacting availability of the workload or service within a cluster, Package addition, Failover, Cluster servers patching, Cluster service administration.
Server & Linux Admin preferably having SAP HANA Know.
User management and password policy management, Console troubleshooting, System fault and reason of fault, System panic state and its identification, Log file analysis, location Fault due to human/user, operational or other, Basic logs capture to show for analysis, Backup validation and path verification, Decommissioning and commissioning process follow-up
