Job Description

Job Purpose:

To execute hands-on installation, calibration, loop checking, and field support activities for instrumentation systems across FSF, PSC, converters, and anode furnace units in the brownfield copper smelter project, strictly as per approved drawings, procedures, and safety norms.
The role focuses on ensuring instrument readiness, accuracy, and reliability at site to support smooth commissioning, start-up, and stable operation of smelter processes producing high-purity blister copper.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities	Supporting Actions
Field Instrument Installation	. Execute installation of field instruments (temperature, pressure, flow, level, analyzers) as per approved drawings and layouts. . Ensure correct mounting, tagging, tubing, impulse lines, and protection against heat, dust, and vibration.
Instrument Calibration & Testing	. Perform accurate calibration of field instruments using approved procedures and tools. . Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with project and QA requirements.
Loop Checking & Commissioning Support	. Execute loop checks, continuity tests, and functional tests in coordination with DCS/PLC and commissioning teams. . Support interlock and safety logic verification during precommissioning and commissioning.
Furnace & Gas System Instrumentation Support	. Support instrumentation activities for FSF, PSC, converters, anode furnaces, and gas cleaning systems under live and hightemperature conditions. . Assist in analyzer installation, commissioning, and stabilization.
Coordination with Multidiscipline Teams	. Coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, automation, and commissioning teams to align instrumentation readiness with site activities. . Support quick resolution of field issues affecting commissioning timelines.
PreCommissioning & Commissioning Readiness	. Prepare and execute instrument calibration, loop checks, and functional tests. . Support interlock testing, causeandeffect verification, and analyzer commissioning. . Ensure instrumentation readiness aligned with dryout, heatup, ignition, and metal charging activities.
Site Safety & Compliance	. Strictly follow PTW, gas safety, hazardous area practices, and instrumentation safety procedures. . Use appropriate PPE and ensure safe execution in furnace and gas handling areas.
Contractor & Technician Support	. Guide and supervise technicians and contractors during installation, calibration, and loop checking activities. . Ensure work quality and adherence to approved methods.
Issue Resolution & Site Modifications	. Identify and rectify fieldlevel issues such as installation errors, signal problems, or instrument damage. . Support implementation of approved site modifications and drawing revisions.
