This role resides in Global Supply Chain Operations. The Supply Chain Commodity Manager's job involves working in conjunction with internal Business Units to develop and implement sourcing strategies for High Volume Manufacturing, proto requirements and localizing components and sub-systems for eco system development. In this role, the primary responsibility would be to identify and lead supplier selections, working across Business Unit functions and Supply Chain Commodity Managers to develop the quotation package and then developing a recommendation to stake holders by, 1. Practicing Supplier Selection Strategies for individual product awards by leading RFP/RFQ activities and negotiations. 2. Influencing on the extend to what goes into the product and where that product is sold. 3. Partnering with Finance, Marketing, Regulatory and Engineering teams to set and define Product Requirement Documents by gaining exposure to all functional areas in the product development. 4. Managing wide range of stake holders both locally and cross Geo, serving as the key link in relationships between Internal stake holders and External Suppliers. Need to set larger Sourcing Strategies, ensuring that Intel is partnering with the right ODMs and Suppliers as well as leading Quarterly Business Reviews. As such, this position requires frequent presentations to management as well as continuous interactions with various stake holders to keep all of them on the same page. Manage the ODM partners end to end, serving as the initial escalation point when issues arrive during both product development and in production. The ability to convey complex information over email and phone are critical skills as the take holders could be in multiple sites. Additional responsibilities and opportunities can include the negotiation of Master Purchase Agreements, leading efforts for cost reduction, both through the BOM as well as throughout the supply chain, as well as driving Environmental Social Governance (ESG) performance and ensuring the supply chain is robust through Business Continuity Planning.


- Minimum of an engineering degree or equivalent degree in electronics / IT or relevant to Supply Chain with 7yrs of experience in commercial and supply chain areas -Demonstrate leadership and experience in driving complex business transactions from deal concept and negotiations to contract closure and supply ramp. Strong collaboration skills with engineering, IP, product development and contract manufacturing elements. -Related experience in the following: - Knowledge of Manufacturing Outsourcing and supply chain, component suppliers, and Electronic Manufacturing design and assembly. -Experience of working with diverse global, cross-functional, internal and external teams and stake holders.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
