Job Description


The Supplier Risk Management Lead will primarily support the Global Procurement organization by ensuring the delivery of global supplier risk assessment and due diligence as a part of the Procurement Service Centre (PSC) in New Delhi. Reporting to the Global Procurement Operations Senior Manager, you will ensure customer service excellence, service optimization and stewardship to accelerate value delivery and risk reduction. You will:

  • Champion Supplier Screening and Due Diligence: as service manager you have the overall responsibility for continuously improving the customer satisfaction, risk reduction and operational service performance.

  • Oversee and manage the supplier screening process providing time zone, language and local office coverage for all supplier and business issues.
  • Be the point of contact for and resolve all supplier screening enquiries, building, and maintaining relationships whilst being sensitive to local and supplier requirements.
  • Manage regular senior level meetings between supplier, business and internal control groups (eg Risk, Legal) to ensure successful supplier risk assessment completion.
  • Manage and collate all necessary supplier documentation e.g. regulatory/compliance documentation to secure compliance.
  • Ensure a strong governance mechanism is in place for effective supplier onboarding including risk attributes gathering, due diligence checks and risk assessment.
  • Act as a control point to ensure good stewardship and compliance to the supplier screening process, being vigilant for and escalating potential fraud activity, or risk concerns.
  • Support global Supplier Management programs including Critical Supplier, Supplier Risk and Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Drive operational excellence to ensure processes are continuously optimized, leveraging digital solution and outsourced operations management as appropriate.
  • Maintain, monitor and leverage KPI's to ensure success, managing the day-to-day operations monitor trends to develop service performance.
  • Maintain supplier master data to a high level of data integrity, ensure accurate data gathering, reporting and provide intelligent insights to further reduce risk.
The successful candidate will have expertise in procurement operational processes related to supplier due diligence and supplier risk management, relationship building, and sensitivity to local requirements. He or she must possess a very high level of self-motivation/drive, persistency, resourcefulness, and a willingness to facilitate change.

  • Understanding of due diligence tools like D&B, LexisNexis, Refinitiv, BVD, Coupa etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills with experience of managing multi geographies across time-zones
  • University degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience preferably in a service center, doing due diligence, risk assessment, running procurement operations or procurement consulting
  • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end supplier risk management processes including Anti-bribery and corruption and due diligence checks
  • Proficiency in S2P tools (Coupa, iValua, Ariba) Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Global Experience, within the professional services industry in procurement or related function is preferrable
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to set priorities, attention to details and tenacious with follow-ups.
