Supplier Quality Engineer
Your role:
Responsible for ensuring superior quality performance at supplier partners through APQP implementation during product/parts industrialization and pursuing continuous quality improvement throughout the product lifecycle, working under general supervision.
The role evaluates potential new suppliers to ensure they meet the company's quality standards.
The role serves as an SQE core member of NPI projects, integrating quality engineering principles to ensure new products meet quality expectations.
The role executes and monitors APQP processes during NPI projects to maintain quality and adherence to project timelines and contributes to the Supplier Project Book.
The role facilitates DfX collaboration between R&D and suppliers, ensures clear communication of Critical to Quality characteristics, and manages Part Submission Warrant plans and supplier improvement initiatives.
Evaluates potential new suppliers through technical capability assessments, ensuring they meet the company's rigorous standards and can deliver high-quality components and assists in the supplier selection.
Executes DFMAT (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly Technique), SAF (Supplier Approval Form), MSA (Measurement System Analysis), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plan, SPC (Statistical Process Control), PV&V (Process Validation and Verification), FAI (First Article Inspection), LRA (Logistics Risk Assessment), and SICR (Supplier Initiated Change Request)
Executes, monitors, and controls APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) processes during NPI projects to maintain consistent quality and adherence to project timelines.
Contributes to the Supplier Project Book by documenting detailed quality requirements and expectations for suppliers, ensuring clear communication and compliance.
Facilitates Design for Excellence (DfX) collaboration between R&D and suppliers to enhance product design quality, leveraging supplier expertise for better design outcomes.
Ensures Critical to Quality / Safety (CtQ / CtS) characteristics are clearly communicated to suppliers and rigorously maintained throughout the production process, securing consistent product quality.
Executes Part Submission Warrant plans, deliverables, line releases, and completion, ensuring that all parts meet specified quality standards before they are approved for use.
Supports supplier improvement and development on APQP, providing guidance and resources to help suppliers enhance their quality processes and achieve compliance.
Reviews Supplier Agreements, conducts thorough analysis of defects to determine if they are supplier-caused, and coordinates Supplier Corrective Action Requests to address and resolve quality issues effectively.
Managing and executing PV remediation activities based on APQP requirements

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers or suppliers locations.
