We are seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Web Development with expertise in the MERN Stack and strong proficiency in Django. The ideal candidate will support curriculum delivery, mentor students on full-stack application development, design industry-relevant learning experiences, and contribute to project-based education aligned with current software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical sessions on Full Stack Web Development using the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).

• Teach backend web development with a strong emphasis on Django and Django REST Framework.

• Guide students in developing scalable, secure, and production-ready web applications.

• Mentor students during capstone projects, hackathons, internships, and product development initiatives.

• Design hands-on laboratory exercises, coding assignments, and real-world case studies.

• Develop and periodically update curriculum in line with evolving industry standards.

• Conduct workshops on REST APIs, authentication, deployment, version control (Git), and cloud-based application hosting.

• Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to introduce live projects and practical learning experiences.

• Evaluate student performance through assignments, project reviews, and technical assessments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong practical experience with the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).

• Mandatory expertise in Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.

• Good understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and database design.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, Git/GitHub, authentication mechanisms, deployment, and cloud platforms is preferred.

• Prior teaching, mentoring, or software development experience is highly desirable.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and mentoring abilities with a passion for experiential learning.
