About The Opportunity
A role within the manufacturing operations and materials management sector supporting high-volume production facilities across India. This on-site position sits at the intersection of stores, logistics and plant operationsresponsible for maintaining material availability, accuracy of inventory records and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end stores operations: receive, inspect, store, issue and track raw materials, spares and finished-goods packaging components to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Maintain accurate inventory through daily stock control, cycle counts, and monthly reconciliations; investigate and close variances promptly.
- Operate and optimise ERP/WMS processes (material receipts, GRN, returns, bin management) to improve stock accuracy and reduce lead times.
- Coordinate with procurement, production planning and vendors to prioritise receipts, expedite critical material and manage vendor returns.
- Drive stores housekeeping, 5S, safety compliance and statutory audit readiness; implement SOPs and enforce material handling best practices.
- Lead and coach the stores team: assign duties, monitor performance, manage shift handovers and ensure training on equipment and procedures.
