About the Job:

This position is a Senior Specialist Cyber Security, responsible for communicating with the application team members or database administrators for completing the identification of an application or database as in-scope, as part of Application Security Logging and Alarming (ASLA) and Database Security Logging and Alarming (DSLA) platform, in the Data Protection Assurance organization within Cyber Security Organization.

Experience Level:8+ years

Location: Hyderabad or Bengaluru

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for communicating with the application team members or database administrators for completing the identification of an application or database as in-scope

  • Review applications or databases log details validate if they can be onboarded via Data Router or Message Router onboard them if found applicable

  • Assist and provide expert best practices in adoption, expansion, additional use cases and in managing the Splunk environment

  • Participate in the initial phases of onboarding - Identify and Prepare Phases as applicable

Primary / Mandatory skills:

Overall - 8+ years of IT experience

  • 6+ years of Splunk architecture and troubleshooting experience

  • Deep understanding of Software Development Lifecycle

  • Basic Splunk architecture, know-how, and troubleshooting experience

  • Proven track record in Configuration management.

  • Understand Application and Database connectivity methods and testing

  • Deep understanding of DevOps practices

  • Application and Databases Onboarding Skillset Project management skillset

  • General information security knowledge (CISSP, Security First Bronze, Silver and/or Gold)

  • Basic Cloud security knowledge for Azure and AWS

  • Expertise Core Application Systems

  • BS of Computer Science and/or Information Systems

Technical Skills: Splunk Architecture and troubleshooting, Application and Database Lifecycle.

Additional information (if any):Flexible to provide coverage in US morning hours upon need.
