Overview
- We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Cloud-Native Application Development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and scaling high-performance backend services that power enterprise-grade applications.
- This role requires a strong engineering mindset, hands-on backend development experience, and the ability to build resilient, secure, and scalable solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software using modern development practices and cloud technologies.
What You'll Do
Backend Application Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build high-performance RESTful APIs and reusable backend services.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices.
- Contribute to system design, technical architecture, and solution implementation discussions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and development guidelines.
Microservices & Distributed Systems
- Design and implement Microservices-based architecture for scalable and resilient applications.
- Develop solutions leveraging event-driven architecture patterns and asynchronous processing models.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to evolve platform capabilities and engineering standards.
Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure.
- Work with cloud services and platform capabilities to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
- Support cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure optimization initiatives.
- Exposure to AWS or GCP environments is considered an advantage.
Data & Persistence
- Design and optimize solutions utilizing Relational Databases (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases.
- Develop efficient data models, queries, and persistence layers for enterprise applications.
- Ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability across distributed systems.
Engineering Excellence
- Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to Test-Driven Development (TDD) and quality engineering practices.
- Collaborate with QA, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality releases.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaboration & Support
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Architects, DevOps Engineers, and Engineering teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
- Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and technical discussions.
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams across EMEA and US regions when required.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work with cross-functional stakeholders and support critical project deliverables across multiple time zones.
What We Are Looking For
- 5-8 years of experience in Software Engineering with strong backend development expertise.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
- Proven experience designing and developing Microservices-based applications.
- Experience building Event-Driven Architectures and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform; exposure to AWS or GCP is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Relational Databases (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases.
- Experience building scalable, secure, and highly available backend systems.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
