Sr Principal Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure for AI agents operating in Cadence's ChipStack SuperAgent ecosystem
• Build robust evaluation frameworks to benchmark agent performance, reliability, and alignment with engineering workflows
• Develop data pipelines, retrieval systems, and context-engineering strategies to enable consistent, grounded agent behavior
• Contribute to continuous integration, automated testing, and observability systems to ensure production-quality deployment of AI-enabled systems
• Optimize system performance across latency, cost, reliability, and scalability dimensions
• Collaborate with software, ML, and EDA teams to integrate AI solutions into high-performance semiconductor design workflows
• Design agent architectures leveraging reason-act loops, planning, self-correction patterns, persistent memory, and structured outputs
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, embeddings, indexing strategies, and grounding techniques
• Monitor and maintain ML/AI systems with logging, tracing, and performance dashboards
• Explore AI-assisted development workflows to enhance engineering productivity and code quality
