Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to lead one or more software engineering teams developing and operating a cloud-native SaaS platform used by cancer patients, clinicians, and healthcare providers. This role combines engineering leadership, technical decision-making, delivery ownership, and people management.
The ideal candidate has experience building and scaling highly available SaaS applications on AWS, leading cross-functional product teams, and delivering software in regulated environments such as healthcare, medical devices, or other quality-sensitive industries.

Job Description
Position Duties:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of strong software engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers.
- Drive the adoption of Generative AI technologies, AI agents, and intelligent automation to improve both customer experience and engineering productivity.
- Foster a high-performance engineering culture emphasizing ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Drive recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Work closely with Product Management, UX, Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality teams to translate business objectives into executable plans.
- Drive predictable execution through agile development methodologies.
- Drive operational excellence through observability, monitoring, automation, incident management, and reliability engineering practices.
- Champion DevOps and CI/CD practices that enable rapid and safe deployments.
- Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, and production readiness activities.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Security teams. Ensure software development activities comply with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications Required: BE, MSc, MCA, Computer Science or related discipline.

Special Knowledge / Skills:
Required:
- 10-12 years of software engineering experience. 3+ years leading engineering teams as an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Manager.
- Strong SaaS operational experience (running production services, not just building features).
- Hands-on technical credibility—able to review designs, challenge architecture decisions, and occasionally dive into code.
- Proven experience leading engineering transformation in cloud SaaS environments.
- A track record of adopting AI technologies to improve products and engineering effectiveness.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills in JAVA and Kotlin with Spring.
- Mobile app development experience with open-source UI toolkit (React native, Flutter etc.)
- Experience working with source control and configuration management tools like Gitlab.
- Experience with several of the following:
- AWS (EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM)
- Kubernetes
- Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
- Java, C#, Python, TypeScript, or similar modern languages
- React, Angular, or modern frontend frameworks
- REST APIs and event-driven architectures
- PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases
- Observability tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic
Nice to have:
- Experience developing healthcare products conforming quality system regulations.
- Experience in healthcare domain and medical interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7
- Certifications from AWS or Azure
