We are looking for a Business Analyst to anchor analytics and insights for the Merchandising function at Lenskart.
In this role, you'll partner with category, planning, and supply teams to shape data-led merchandising strategies, drive efficiency in inventory and assortment, and enable faster, smarter decision-making across the eyewear business.
You'll be the analytical backbone of the merchandising team connecting data, insights, and business impact.
- Business Partnering: Act as the analytics lead for merchandising partnering with category heads and planners to drive commercial decisions.
- Merchandising Performance: Build visibility on assortment productivity, sell-through, and product lifecycle across collections, channels, and geographies.
- Inventory Efficiency: Drive initiatives to improve freshness, reduce aged stock, and optimize DOH in alignment with business and working capital goals.
- Assortment Strategy: Identify opportunities for range rationalization, new product introductions, and portfolio expansion using customer and sales insights.
- Pricing & Promotions: Lead analysis of pricing, discounting, and promotional effectiveness; recommend data-backed interventions to drive revenue and margin growth.
- Forecasting & Demand Planning: Strengthen demand models in partnership with supply chain and category teams to improve buy accuracy and fill rates.
- Dashboarding & Automation: Design scalable dashboards and self-serve analytics (Power BI) for leadership and cross-functional teams.
Candidate Profile:
- 26 years of experience in business analytics, merchandising, category management, or planning (D2C, retail, e-commerce, or FMCG preferred).
- Excellent Academic background, prefer B.Tech./ CAs/ MBAs
- Strong command of Excel (must have) and experience working with large, multi-dimensional datasets (Proficiency in Power BI/ SQL plus point)
- Proven ability to connect data with business levers and communicate insights effectively to leadership.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and influencing senior stakeholders.
- A passion for consumer products, fashion trends, and building data-driven merchandising frameworks.
