The XR Experiences team is part of the Design and Customer Experience team in the organization and is responsible for building delightful, consistent, intuitive, and engaging immersive experiences on JioGlass for our B2C customers across Media & Entertainment, Learning, Shopping, Gaming and Productivity; and our B2B enterprise customers across Remote Assistance, Communication & Collaboration and Enterprise learning use-cases.
The Engineering Manager position is a management role part of the Program Management Office responsible for resource planning, project coordination within the XR Experiences team as well as coordinating with the engineering managers of the different departments within the company, budget planning, administration, and general client liaison.
Coordinated large multi-disciplinary projects with ultimate responsibility for financial control, resourcing management, internal project coordination, administration, and client liaison.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and organise themselves to meet all assigned deadlines.
Proactively communicated and collaborated with internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Resource Plan, Roadmap, Budget, Risks , etc
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
Serves as the conduit between the product/customer community and the development team through which requirements flow.
Agile software delivery process using JIRA (including breaking down work into modular tasks, updating/tracking task status/work log entries for sprint management), Gerrit/Git (source code management including branching strategy, code review) and Automation Tools.
Job Specifications
Bachelor s or master s degree in Computer Science, Management or relevant field.
10+ years of experience in managing team of 10-15 developers and designers to drive software product from concept to production.
Adept knowledge of software development, Agile methodology and other software project management related tools.
Great leadership skills, able to deliver clear feedback to their team members.
Proven ability to manage timelines and budget of complex multi-disciplinary projects.
Proven ability to manage teams and establish efficient communication channels between internal team members as well as across different teams within the organization.
Artistic and creative, familiar with design quality and the strategies involved in creating good designs.
Influence others, leading them to understand why certain design aspects matter more than others.
Should be able to manage and resolve conflict between individual team members and between different teams
