Organizational Overview:

Credit Team decisions credit actions across the lifecycle of a customer - from acquisition to account management to collections and recover - we work towards managing credit and fraud losses and elevating customer experience through powerful and proprietary insights on customer risk and credit behaviours. Role Summary/Purpose:

As a Sr. Credit Surveillance Analyst, you will be responsible for the ensuring compliance for Risk-owned Critical to Compliance processes (CTCs). This will be accomplished by executing existing surveillance programs, along with identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement and efficiencies. You will be responsible for compiling results of the surveillance programs owned, sharing those results with critical stakeholders and drive correction for issues identified.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily surveillance on PSCC & RC Adverse Action Notification.

  • Monitor and execute surveillance of CTC processes owned by Credit, with an emphasis on Adverse Action Notification compliance.

  • Research and document root causes of defects identified. Follow-up with cross functional teams for corrective action and development of solutions. Track resolution of defects and ensure appropriate escalation.

  • Analyze monthly dashboards on various processes within Risk and report results to Risk leadership.

  • Regularly evaluate CTC (Critical to Compliance) Risk requirements to ensure controls are adequate and appropriate surveillance is in place.

  • Effectively communicate surveillance activity, issues and recommendations to senior leadership team, auditors, clients, vendors and other key stakeholders

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience in consumer/commercial credit or risk management, lending, marketing or appropriate field in a credit card / consumer lending environment, or in lieu of a degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience in consumer/commercial risk management, lending, marketing or appropriate field in a credit card / consumer lending environment

  • Minimum 2+ years experience with risk/credit underwriting/credit card application and/or account management systems

  • Working knowledge of Surveyor, FDR, IDP reporting, AFP onDemand

  • Minimum 2+ years experience and expertise working in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Understand the criteria or mandatory skills required for the role, before applying

Eligibility Criteria:

Master's or Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience in consumer/commercial credit or risk management, lending, marketing or appropriate field in a credit card / consumer lending environment, or in lieu of a degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience in consumer/commercial risk management, lending, marketing or appropriate field in a credit card / consumer lending environment

Work Timings:This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time - 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs
