About the Role: You will take full operational and architectural ownership of the enterprise Azure estate representing the mission-critical GNLA/RESQ application. This role sits at the intersection of high-level infrastructure design, daily cloud operations, FinOps governance, and cross-team project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and take complete accountability for the GNLA/RESQ Azure cloud estate.
- Execute day-to-day operational activities including resource scaling, scheduling, and platform monitoring.
- Drive the end-to-end resource lifecycle, frequently provisioning new infrastructure and decommissioning legacy resources safely.
- Act as the primary infrastructure point-of-contact in daily syncs with the application development team, managing and delegating ad-hoc technical requests.
- Oversee cloud security posture: manage user profiles, enforce RBAC, execute security assignments, and conduct regular compliance reviews.
- Perform on-demand cloud cost management, FinOps tracking, and budget reporting.
- Track, analyze, benchmark, and report on system performance metrics upon request.
Required Skills:
- Security: Proven design/implementation of Azure RBAC, Zero Trust architectures, Azure Key Vault, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, Defender for Cloud, and enterprise data encryption (at rest / in transit).
- Networking: Architectural experience designing hybrid topologies including Azure ExpressRoute, Site-to-Site VPNs, VNet Peering, Hub-and-Spoke models, DNS routing, and enterprise Load Balancing (App Gateway / Traffic Manager).
- Storage: Design of enterprise cloud storage solutions including Azure Storage Accounts (Blob, File, Queue), Managed Disks, IOPS optimization, redundancy tiering (LRS/GRS/ZRS), and legacy SAN/NAS-to-cloud migration concepts.
