Position Description:

The Creative Services Designer is responsible for delivering high-end Visual graphics solutions for advertising, brochures, and other creative materials that represent Lilly brands and business functions. In partnership with Creative Services team members and other Lilly USA stakeholders, the Creative Services Designer will develop Promotional materials to be leveraged across multiple platforms and audiences, internally and externally.


The Creative Services Designer reports to Group Lead/Senior Team Leader/Senior Associate Director, Marketing Operations.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their creative needs
  • Create print and digital tactics derived from existing tactics or new tactics to meet requirements and specifications as defined by project owners
  • Create/develop tactics utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud applications and other applicable software (e.g., Google Web Designer, Figma, Microsoft applications)
  • Develop design solutions according to the Project Briefs
  • Provide final layout and instructions for print execution as needed
  • Be a consultant to stakeholders to assist in their understanding in brand materials
  • Ensure appropriate licensing of image/asset for new tactic and upload finished files to the assets management database
  • Follow the relevant review process prior to finalizing the production for all creative assets

Minimum Experience/Personal Skill Requirements:

  • 1-8 years of creative agency or related experience as a member of the creative team
  • 1-8 years of experience on latest versions of Adobe Creative Cloud applications (InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier Pro and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong English interpersonal and communication (written & verbal) skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to details, and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work on multiple print and digital projects simultaneously, meet quick turnaround, and manage rapidly changing priorities
  • Proven ability to work proactively to address overall business needs for stakeholders
  • Be a good team player to assist colleagues when required
  • Ability to apply practical or technical knowledge and solve visual brand issues where no or limited direction is given, that required proven understanding of type treatment, and effective use of color
  • Proactively approach for solutions within Creative Services team and if required, reach out to cross-function (e.g., Marketing Operations)
  • Ability to manage ambiguity
  • Candidates will be expected to supply a sample of their portfolios to demonstrate expertise
  • Internal Candidates: Competence with existing Lilly USA business processes & platforms
  • Internal Candidates: No CPP or GPP violations over the most recent two year period

Additional Preferences:

  • Experience in Prism, Wrike, Veeva Vault and other project management software
  • 1-8 years of print production and advertising experience
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Demonstrate prioritization skills
  • Experience creating trending design components (e.g., images, tables) for use in templates
  • Meticulous attention to detail, including commitment to following brand and other defined standards
  • Exhibit excellent problem solving skills
  • Should work well under pressure, responds well to feedback, and keeps a positive attitude
  • High level of motivation and a strong desire to find creative solutions in challenging situations
  • Demonstrate ability to enforce business rules and policies in a constructive but disciplined manner

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or related degree

Other Information:

  • Some travel required (0-10%)
