We're hiring a results-driven Software Sales Executive for a fast-growing portfolio company. You'll own end-to-end sales across India prospecting, demoing, negotiating, and closing and turn qualified leads into long-term customers. Must have 2+ years SaaS sales experience, excellent communication, strong demo skills, and a relentless follow-up mindset. Travel required.
PurposeDrive new revenue by converting leads and building relationships across channels and regions in India. Act as the product expert in demos, own outreach (both cold and warm), email/LinkedIn campaigns, and close high-value deals through face-to-face and remote meetings.
Key responsibilities (action-focused)- Prospect and qualify new accounts across industry verticals using LinkedIn, cold outreach, events, and partner channels.
- Run end-to-end sales cycles: discovery demo proposal negotiation close.
- Deliver persuasive live product demos (remote & onsite) tailored to buyer pain points.
- Design and execute targeted email marketing and LinkedIn outreach sequences to generate pipeline.
- Maintain an aggressive follow-up cadence: nurture prospects, recover stalled deals, and convert trials into paid customers.
- Coordinate with marketing for demand generation and with customer success for smooth onboarding.
- Travel across India for client meetings, pilot deployments and events as required.
- Maintain accurate CRM activity and forecast pipeline weekly.
Must-have
- 2+ years of proven software/SaaS sales experience (quota-carrying).
- Confident, structured demo skills can run technical and business demos unassisted.
- Strong outbound prospecting skills (cold email, cold calling, LinkedIn).
- Excellent written + verbal English communication.
- High follow-up discipline and time management; proven track record of moving leads through the funnel.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across India.
- Comfortable with targets, KPIs, and CRM ownership (HubSpot/Salesforce/Zoho).
Nice-to-have- Experience selling to mid-market and enterprise customers.
- Familiarity with product trials, pilots, POCs, and commercial contracting.
- Background in channel/partner sales or marketplace listings.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing/analytics to coordinate campaigns.
