QA Tester @ Thumo (Africa's first super-app)
We're building Africa's super-app, starting with food delivery. Fresh off a $1.2M funding round led by Soma Capital, Sequoia Scout Fund, A16Z Scout Fund, and top Silicon Valley angels, we're hiring a QA Tester to ensure our platform delivers the reliability and user experience needed as we expand into new African markets. This fully remote role provides you with exposure to a fast-moving Silicon Valley startup while allowing you to work IST hours from anywhere in India.
What you'll do
- Test our iOS, Android, and web apps to ensure smooth and bug-free user experiences
- Develop and execute test cases across functional, regression, and exploratory testing
- Identify, document, and track bugs in collaboration with the development team
- Work closely with international engineers and designers to develop QA checklists and uphold product quality
- Provide feedback on usability, performance, and reliability before launch into new markets
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in QA testing (manual or automated)
- Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana)
- Strong attention to detail and structured testing approach
- Bonus: Experience with food delivery / quick commerce apps (Zomato, Swiggy, Zepto, Blinkit, etc.)
- Bonus: Experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Appium, etc.)
- Any technical background (CS degree, coding experience) is a plus
