Role: QA-Tester
Highly motivated with 3 to 5 yrs experienced QA Tester capable of handling comprehensive software quality assurance, specializing in functional, performance, and security testing. The ideal candidate will be a meticulous problem-solver with a strong technical foundation and a passion for delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable products.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Testing
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases (manual and automated) based on product requirements and user stories.
- Identify, document, and meticulously track software defects using a bug tracking system.
- Perform various types of functional testing, including regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Collaborate closely with development and product teams to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues promptly.
Performance Testing
- Develop and execute performance and load testing scripts to evaluate system response times, throughput, and stability under various load conditions.
- Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks (e.g., in database queries, application code, or infrastructure), and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.
- Utilize tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar to simulate real-world user traffic.
Security Testing
- Conduct basic to intermediate-level security testing (vulnerability scanning, penetration testing) to identify common security flaws (SQL injection, XSS, broken authentication).
- Work with development teams to ensure compliance with security best practices and company policies.
- Utilize security testing tools like OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or similar to test application resilience.
Required Qualifications
- 35 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing.
- Proven experience in designing and executing test cases for functional, performance, and security aspects of software applications.
- Proficiency with at least one test management tool (Jira, TestRail, ALM).
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Experience with SQL and database testing to validate data integrity.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and written skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) environment.
- Certification in a relevant area (ISTQB, relevant security certifications).
- Experience testing APIs/Web Services using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
