Role Title: Software Engineering Manager
Position Summary:
Provides hands on software engineering and system architecture leadership for one of the Behavioral Health and Care Solutions Delivery teams. This individual will be working on several of the largest Technology initiatives for Evernorth targeted at revolutionizing Health Services and Healthcare Delivery system in the United States. The focus of the work is to continue to enhance Evernorth's market winning capabilities in the Behavioral Health and Care Solutions space. The Technology strategy is completely aligned to our business strategy and the candidate will not only be able to influence technologybusiness direction but also recruiting and mentoring employees or vendor resources to ultimately build and contribute within a world class Delivery Vertical. This is a hands-on position with visibility to the highest levels of Evernorth management who are driven to see our efforts succeed. The solution focuses on enabling this change through the use of the latest technologies and development techniques.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, vision, and architectural/design direction for the team.
- Direct the team in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Ensure engineering solutions align with the Technology strategy and that they support the application's requirements.
- Plan and implement procedures that will maximize engineering and operating efficiency for application integration technologies.
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities.
- Complete accountability for the technology assets owned by the team.
- Provide leadership to the team ensuring the team is meeting the following objectives: Design, configuration, implementation of middleware products and application design/development within the supported technologies and products.
- Proactive monitoring and management design of supported assets assuring performance, availability, security, and capacity.
- Maximize the efficiency (operational, performance, and cost) of the application assets.
Experience Required:
This position requires a highly motivated and collaborative person with exceptional communication skills, proven experience working with diverse teams of technical architects, business users and IT areas on all phases of the software development life-cycle.
- Experience with AWS Services including Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EKS, Event Bridge, SQS, SNS, S3, and RDS.
- Deep understanding of React, including state management (e.g., Redux), component lifecycle, hooks, and performance optimization.
- Experience designing with a security framework such as the AWS well-Architected Framework.
- Experience with Apache Spark and Kafka.
- Strong knowledge of Data Integration (e.g. Streaming, Batch, Error and Replay) and data analysis techniques.
- Building and scaling RDBMS (Postgres,Aurora postgres,Oracle) and NOSQL systems (Mongo, DocumentDB/ Dynamodb) systems to Multi-terabyte scale .
- Experience developing with containers (e.g. Docker, EKS, OpenShift, etc.).
- Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform.
- Experience with Security Concepts (e.g. Encryption, Identity, etc.).
- Experience with Replication technologies like Qlik, IIDR ,Golden gate and replicate the data from On premise to cloud .
- Knowledge of AWS technology stack and solution patterns
- Experience in software development phases including design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale, business centric and process based applications
- Experience in a variety of technologies including, but not limited to, Pega, AWS, Oracle
