Software Development Engineer II | MAF Retail

ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a highly skilled SDE II who will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. As part of our Quality Engineering team, you will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, create scalable test suites, and collaborate closely with developers and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who has strong programming skills, experience in automation, and a passion for building reliable, testable, and maintainable software systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and tools.
• Create and execute robust test plans and test cases (manual & automated) for web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and identify test coverage gaps.
• Drive test automation adoption across the team by mentoring and contributing reusable components.
• Perform API testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and regression testing.
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines integrate with automated test suites for continuous quality validation.
• Debug issues, analyze root causes, and contribute to code fixes or test improvements.
• Contribute to performance, scalability, and security testing initiatives.
• Participate in code reviews for automation scripts and test frameworks.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering

Experience: 4-6 years in software testing and automation (with at least 2 years in an SDET/QA automation role).

Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks for flutter and React Native Technologies like Selenium,, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Detox, or Appium.

Experience in API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured etc.).

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Good understanding of software testing methodologies: functional, regression, performance, load, security.

Strong problem-solving skills and debugging expertise.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, Behave).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust, Gatling).
• Exposure to monitoring tools and observability practices.
