Our team caters to several businesses across Walmart that leverage Service Now for HR case management, associate relations, People system integrations and other related product engineering capabilities. Walmart's philosophy of Everyday Low Prices is not an easy one to achieve. Being cost-effective is critical because it allows us to optimize all processes and verticals while striving for excellence. What will you do:
You will be part of a global engineering team set up that caters to several businesses across the globe at Walmart. The team leverages/implements standard modules as well as builds custom developments that integrate with several systems meant for People related solutions. Your code / solutions could potentially enable millions of users achieve efficiency in their day to day processes and thus enable massive cost savings for Walmart.
The role is of a ServiceNow engineer who is motivated to actively contribute to the design and development of ServiceNow HRSM Module along with Portal. The role is expected to make a difference to the product in terms of the design and contribute towards identifying technical risks and find solutions to various problems.
Your Responsibility shall include
- Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide.
- Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
- Be involved in the successful implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
- Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Translating stories, designs and wireframes into high quality code
- Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
- Work closely with the Tech Leads/Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery) within the established architectural guidelines.
- Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe.
- Performs root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues
- Writing and developing code, conducting unit testing, communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders
- Troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes, enhancing design to prevent re-occurrences of defects, ensuring on-time delivery and knowledge transitions
- Troubleshoots business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause)
- Driving proof-of-concept and implementing prototypes to validate ideas.
- Responsible for assessing bugs priority & severity, effectively communicate to stakeholders.
- Engage with 4iTB model across the globe to drive the agenda, understand priorities and lead towards delivering quality products.
- Need to be passionate to learn new technologies and also ability to quickly adapt to change.
- Be part of on-call rotation to support applications, identify issues and work towards resolution.

Your Qualifications Shall Include
- B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science
- 2+ years of experience in design and development of highly -scalable applications and platform development in product based companies or R&D divisions using ServiceNow HR Service Delivery and Management.
- Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, XML, CSS, HTML, Angular JS, jelly scripting, JSON, SOAP & REST Web Services and thorough understanding of its core principles
- Hands-on experience working on ServiceNow HRSM Module Creating Service Catalogs, Record Producers, Portal, Workflows and Orchestration
- Should have an understanding of ServiceNow development, including creation of Client Scripts, UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes, ACLs, Roles etc. Uni and bidirectional integration using SOAP and REST messages/web services and Mid Servers.
- Experience on ServiceNow recent features like Agent Workspace, Integration Hub, Manager's Hub, Advanced Work Assignment would be helpful.
- Experience around ServiceNow Performance Analytics, Virtual agent, AI/ML to improve user's experience would be appreciated.
- Understanding accessibility and security compliance
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments and especially on SSO process
- Demonstrated ownership for development and design of a few modules/features in a product.
- Hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly, willingness to learn new and emerging technologies
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Awareness of Agile (Scrum) methodologies by using tools like JIRA.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team player.
