Software Engineer II (Back-End Engineer)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for scientific computing workflows
• Build and optimize distributed systems supporting HPC-based drug discovery pipelines
• Develop APIs, services, and client-server components using Python and Go
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of compute and data systems
• Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries for large-scale scientific data
• Participate in system modernization and enhancement of legacy backend services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists and frontend engineers
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment processes
• Debug and resolve distributed system issues in development and production environments
• Ensure system stability, reliability, and performance under high computational loads
