- Design, develop, and maintain Level 2 Automation Systems for industrial and manufacturing plants.
- Develop software applications for process monitoring, production tracking, reporting, alarm management, data logging, and process optimization.
- Build and enhance enterprise-grade applications using C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET, Windows Services, and REST APIs.
- Develop and maintain communication interfaces between PLCs, SCADA systems, Laboratory Systems, Continuous Casters, MES, ERP, and other industrial equipment.
- Design, optimize, and manage databases using Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle, including writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and database schemas.
- Develop data acquisition, processing, and integration modules to support real-time plant operations and decision-making.
- Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to scalable, high-performance software solutions.
- Perform software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Support onsite commissioning, deployment, system integration, and production stabilization activities at customer locations.
- Collaborate with automation engineers, plant personnel, project managers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Integrate third-party industrial systems and devices using industrial communication protocols and APIs.
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and user manuals for developed solutions.
- Provide post-implementation support, issue resolution, and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, software quality practices, and project delivery timelines.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in Industrial Automation, Smart Manufacturing, Industrial IoT, and Digital Transformation.
Ideal Candidate1Strong Software Engineer — Level 2 Industrial Automation2Mandatory (Experience 1) – Must have 2+ years of hands-on software development experience (C#/.NET), with solid technical fundamentals. Exposure to Level-2 / industrial automation systems is a strong plus3Mandatory (Experience 2) – Must have hands-on, working-level C#/.NET ability — able to write, explain, and debug production application code (.NET Framework and/or .NET Core; ASP.NET, Windows Services, REST APIs)4Mandatory (Skill – Database) – Must have practical SQL Server and/or Oracle ability: writing queries, stored procedures, and triggers, with an understanding of schema design (not ORM-only)5Mandatory (Enterprise Exposure) – Must have experience building, delivering, or supporting enterprise-grade applications and be comfortable in a client-facing capacity6Mandatory (Qualification) – Must hold B.Tech / B.E. / equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline7Mandatory Note – A candidate with 1+ years of experience but industrial/manufacturing domain exposure will also be considered
