Job Description

Skills and Competencies

  • Must have 3-6 Years of experience in Anaplan Model Builder.
  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of Anaplan models supporting sales planning, quota planning, and territory management under senior team members guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, support translating business processes into Anaplan solutions, and learn to align with organizational goals.
  • Support the implementation of best practices in model architecture, data integration, and performance optimization to improve model efficiency and usability.
  • Work closely with senior Anaplan model builders to learn modeling techniques, platform features, and business use cases.
  • Anaplan certifications such as Certified Model Builder, contributing to team knowledge and platform adoption efforts.
  • Gain familiarity with Salesforce sales processes (e.g., pipeline management, order management) to support integrated planning efforts.
  • Develop an understanding of compensation planning functions like sales incentive tracking and quota attainment as part of broader sales performance management.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Finance, Computer Science, or related field, with expertise in Anaplan model development and maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Support senior Anaplan model builders in building and maintaining models for Sales Planning and Territory Management at Moody's Analytics.
  • Assist in gathering business requirements and providing ongoing support for Anaplan solutions under supervision.
  • Participate in the Territory Planning and Management process, including learning about territory design, account assignment, and quota distribution.
  • Support integration efforts between Anaplan and downstream systems such as Salesforce, Workday, and data warehouses.
  • earn and apply best practices for building scalable and user-friendly models aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with sales and compensation teams to understand business needs and support related Anaplan models.
  • Actively pursue Anaplan and other professional development opportunities to enhance technical and domain expertise.

About the team

The Customer Operations and Risk team at Moody's Analytics is responsible for delivering sales and data-driven solutions that support the full spectrum of sales functions across the organization. Within this group, the Anaplan team plays a key role in driving annual planning success, supporting a continuous territory management process, and enabling scalable, data-informed decision-making.

As part of the Anaplan Center of Excellence (CoE), this role collaborates closely with the Sales Planning and Compensation teams to design, build, and enhance Anaplan models that align with strategic priorities and improve operational efficiency across Moody's Analytics.
