At Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), we are a diverse, innovative team building the future of enterprise cloud. Combining startup agility with enterprise scale, we value equity, inclusion, and continuous learning. You'll be empowered to do your best work in a dynamic, supportive, and collaborative environment.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's Email Delivery (ED) team provides a secure, reliable, and highly scalable managed cloud service for sending high-volume transactional and marketing emails. The service supports mission-critical requirements for both Oracle business units and external customers. Our platform delivers billions of emails each month and is built to handle dramatic bursts in demand, achieving the performance, security, and compliance expected from global enterprises.

As the team continues to grow and drive large-scale SaaS migrations and feature innovation, we are looking for a Senior Manager who can provide strong technical and people leadership. You will have the opportunity to make significant business and technical impact while guiding the team in solving real-world distributed systems challenges such as dynamic scalability, abuse prevention, and delivery optimization.

As a Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in defining the vision and strategic direction for the OCI Email Delivery engineering team.

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a talented engineering team responsible for building robust, scalable, and secure cloud services for high-volume email delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and strategic leadership to deliver high-quality features and continuously improve service performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across product, architecture, and operations to drive new initiatives and achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee end-to-end project execution, from planning and design through development, deployment, and operations.
  • Ensure a strong focus on automation, monitoring, and rapid incident response to maintain high service availability and exceptional customer experience.
  • Drive talent development, career growth, and knowledge sharing, building a team culture that encourages excellence and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years total experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in people management roles, ideally in large-scale distributed or cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and grow high-performing technical teams.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures, large-scale distributed systems, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Java.
  • Proven success in delivering production-grade software in mission-critical or high-availability environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, systematic troubleshooting, and ability to drive technical vision.
  • Effective communicator, collaborator, and mentor with a track record of team building and cross-team partnership in a global, fast-paced environment.
