Intelex is on the lookout for a Software Development Manager to join our AI team, working on innovative and transformative solutions that will drive our company's strategic direction in the ever-evolving realm of AI technology & New Initiatives. Managers work with their teams and departmental stakeholders to delight our customers and empower them with industry-leading capabilities and UX. Responsibilities And Deliverables

  • Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams to consistently deliver high-quality projects that exceed client expectations and deadlines.
  • Evaluate and implement cutting-edge agent tools and AI solutions such as LLMs, RAG, and orchestration frameworks like LangGraph.
  • Guide the development and deployment of robust, scalable AI systems by following established MLOps principles.
  • Collaborate actively with teams to translate business needs into actionable development plans across multiple development groups.
  • Partner with R&D leaders to set and track KPIs, metrics, and milestones that drive team performance.
  • Take initiative to spot gaps in technology, processes, products, or workflows, and independently coordinate resources and work items to resolve these issues between teams.
  • Champion departmental efforts to enhance technology, processes, workflow, and product quality, introducing best practices that streamline development cycles and boost both predictability and output quality.
  • Oversee performance management and leadership growth for direct reports, offering coaching and mentorship for ongoing professional development.
  • Work within a continuously improving agile environment, refining planning, estimation, and software development.
  • Ensure timely delivery on project commitments by working closely with product management and other stakeholders, proactively identifying and navigating challenges in executing the product roadmap and key deliverables.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teamsincluding Architects, QA, and Product Managementto achieve client satisfaction. Set essential performance targets for various functions and direct reports. Lead recruitment and talent development initiatives to assemble an elite engineering team capable of creating industry-leading EHSQ software on schedule.
  • Direct the creation of tactical programs aligned with strategic goals and objectives. Promote a workplace culture that prioritizes creativity, collaboration, agility, innovation, customer focus, and fun, all while continually raising the standards of the R&D organization.
  • Drives Fortive Business System (FBS) as a practitioner and leader.

Technical Competencies

  • Expertise developing large scale web applications and a thorough understanding of common architecture choices for them.
  • Expertise with the concepts and building blocks of large-scale applications including messaging systems, load balancing, microservice architecture, and production telemetry.
  • Knowledge of modern ML toolkits and frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.).
  • Proven experience building and deploying agentic applications, with deep knowledge of agent design patterns and orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience training AI/ML models, including foundation models, fine-tuned models, or specialized domain models.
  • Understands DevOps pipelines and cloud deployment tools like Kubernetes or equivalent technologies.
  • Previous experience in full stack development across different technical stacks including JavaScript (ReactJS / Webpack), server (.net framework, .net core), and cloud (AWS, Azure) or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience with mobile applications.
  • Previous experience with relational/non-relational database like SQL Server or MongoDB.
  • A solid understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) principles.
  • A solid understanding of object-oriented programming and microservices.
  • Self-guided learning of new tools, technologies, and stacks.
  • Able to switch context between the big picture and the details to identify and evangelize the creation of effective user experiences.

Experience

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience coding and delivering software as a team member.
  • 3+ years of experience leading the AI/Machine Learning development lifecycle from conception to delivery.
  • 3+ years of experience leading software development teams.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Scrum development methodology and in leading Agile Scrum development teams.

Preferred:

  • Five or more years professional experience preferred.
  • Professional experience within a software product or SaaS organization preferred.

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree and/or vendor certifications (such as Microsoft Certified Professional) valued.
