Position Summary
We are seeking a Staff Engineer DevOps with 35 years of experience in designing, automating, and scaling cloud-native infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has deep expertise in Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and is passionate about improving developer velocity, platform security, and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, or Tekton
- Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE); deploy and monitor containerized applications
- Automate infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
- Implement observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, or Datadog
- Apply DevSecOps best practices: IAM policies, secrets management, and security scanning
- Optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for performance and cost efficiency
- Build and maintain GitOps workflows and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) pipelines
- Drive zero-downtime deployments using blue-green, canary, or feature flag strategies
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline build and release workflows
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field
- 35 years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure automation roles
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and CI/CD tools
- Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (Python, Bash, or Go)
- Solid understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP services
- Experience with monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, ELK, OpenTelemetry)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FinOps (cloud cost optimization) and Kubernetes auto-scaling
- Exposure to serverless and event-driven architectures
- Contributions to open-source DevOps tools or platforms
