Role Overview

The Team

Join the engineering team in Bengaluru & Pune to work at the intersection of enterprise storage and agentic AI. This role offers FY'25-26 graduating B.Tech students from CSE, ECE, and IT streams the opportunity to contribute to VSP One, Hitachi's unified data platform, with exposure to file and object storage technologies. You will transition from theoretical concepts to real-world technical builds, focusing on infrastructure deployment and high-performance product validation.

The Role

• Strong Coding Skills: Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, C++, or Java) and solid foundations in Algorithms and Data Structures.
• Distributed Systems: Strong understanding of Distributed Systems concepts and architecture.
• Linux Knowledge: Comfortable navigating the command line, shell scripting, and basic system configuration.
• Version Control: Practical experience with Git (pull requests, branching, and code reviews).
• Problem-Solving: A logical approach to debugging system-level issues and optimizing software performance.
• Academic Status: FY'25 - FY'26 Engineering graduates.

What You Will Bring

• Product Development: Assist in developing and testing modules for the VSP One storage solutions.
• Quality & Reliability: Execute comprehensive test suites for software patches, validating upgrades, rollbacks, and data integrity to ensure zero-loss transitions for enterprise customers.
• Infrastructure Support: Help manage technical nodes, including tasks such as imaging systems with Linux to support product development pipelines.

• Modern AI-Augmented Development: Master AI-assisted coding tools and agentic workflows to accelerate the software lifecycle.
• Storage Technologies: Develop, maintain, and validate enterprise-class storage solutions across file and object storage platforms.
• Enterprise DevOps Frameworks: Work within professional DevOps pipelines and high-standard CI/CD environments.
• Professional Engineering Management: Utilize industry-standard tools including Jira, Confluence, and Aha.
• Sovereign Infrastructure: Gain deep insights into Data and AI products designed for sovereign data requirements and persistent agentic memory.
