Role Overview
We are looking for an SDE II – AI with strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience building AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, and modern AI frameworks.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across backend engineering, prompt engineering, model integration, and scalable AI application development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications and services.
- Build intelligent workflows using Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for enterprise knowledge retrieval.
- Integrate AI models through APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or open-source LLMs.
- Build AI agents capable of executing multi-step workflows and tool calling.
- Develop backend APIs and services to support AI features.
- Optimize prompts, model performance, latency, and cost.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to identify AI use cases.
- Monitor production AI systems and continuously improve model quality.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Generative AI and AI engineering.
Required Skills
- 3–5 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience building applications using LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama, Mistral, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
- Experience implementing RAG architectures.
- Understanding of vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, Milvus, or FAISS.
- Experience with prompt engineering and AI model evaluation.
- Good understanding of REST APIs and backend application development.
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with AI agents and tool calling.
- Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol).
- Knowledge of Knowledge Graphs and semantic search.
- Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Exposure to the machine learning lifecycle and model deployment.
- Experience working in product-based organizations.
