Job Title: Subject Matter Expert – Training Enablement & Content (Broking & Wealth)
Location: Mumbai
What you will do:
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead Training and Enablement for our Broking, Wealth Management, and Sub-Broker networks. Unlike traditional trainers, you will not just teach theory; you will build hyper-contextual content that solves real-world, daily challenges faced by sales teams and sub-brokers in the field.
Your mission is to translate complex market dynamics, product mechanics, and software features into practical, actionable sales tools that directly drive revenue and partner engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Problem-Centric Content Creation
- Real-World Playbooks: Build How-To guides and case studies tackling actual field objections (e.g., How a sub-broker can pitch PMS to a client burned by the recent market dip).
- Micro-Learning Assets: Create bite-sized content (2-minute videos, WhatsApp infographics, flashcards) explaining margin changes, peak-margin rules, or corporate actions in simple language.
- Contextual Sales Kits: Design comparison frameworks, pitch decks, and calculator tools that show partners exactly how to position our wealth products against competitors.
2. Tactical Training Delivery
- Scenario-Based Training: Run workshops focused on situational simulation (e.g., handling panicky clients during a sudden market crash, navigating terminal glitches, or converting a physical trader to digital options).
- Onboarding & Up-skilling: Design and execute fast-track onboarding programs for new sub-brokers and internal sales teams to shorten their time-to-first-deal.
- NISM & Compliance Prep: Simplify NISM certification material into easy-to-digest formats, ensuring partners pass mandatory exams quickly.
3. Product & Technology Translation
- Demystifying Tech: Act as the bridge between the product/tech team and the field. Turn complex app updates, API features, or back-office reports into simple, benefit-led user guides.
- Feedback Loop: Regularly gather common pain points from sub-brokers and feed them back to the tech team to improve the partner platform UX.
4. Ecosystem Engagement
- Market Commentary Support: Provide daily, easily forwardable market summaries or Trade of the Day explainers that sub-brokers can directly share with their retail clients to stir up volume.
- Community Building: Lead regular Q&A clinics, webinars, and open-mic sessions where sub-brokers can bring their toughest customer rejections to be solved live.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Content Adoption Rate: Viewership and active utilization of training materials/kits by the sales and sub-broker network.
- Time-to-Activation: Reduction in the number of days a newly onboarded sub-broker takes to generate their first trade.
- Product Mix Diversification: Measurable increase in sub-brokers selling non-equity products (Mutual Funds, PMS, Bonds, Insurance) post-training.
- Query Reduction: Drop in support tickets regarding basic platform navigation or policy misunderstandings.
Who you are:
- Experience: 5–8 years in Training, Product Enablement, or Content Strategy specifically within a Retail Broking house, Wealth Management firm, or Fintech app.
- Domain Expertise: Deep practical knowledge of equity, derivatives, commodities, mutual funds, PMS, and structural mechanics like MTF (Margin Trading Facility) and pledge mechanisms.
- Content Prowess: Ability to write clean, jargon-free copy and conceptualize visual content (scriptwriting for videos, structuring layouts for infographics).
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with modern LMS (Learning Management Systems), screen-recording tools, and digital adoption platforms.
- Certifications: NISM Series VIII (Equity Derivatives) and NISM Series V-A (Mutual Fund Distributors) are highly preferred
