Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Analog/Mixed Signal Layout Engineer with strong expertise in custom layout design and physical verification. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in designing complex analog and high-speed circuit layouts with a focus on quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand design constraints and implement high-quality layout solutions.
- Design and develop layouts for analog and mixed-signal blocks using Cadence VXL.
- Perform physical verification of layouts, including LVS, DRC, and resolving other layout-related issues.
- Create layouts for critical analog blocks such as:
- Temperature Sensors
- PLL, ADC, DAC
- LDO, Bandgap Reference Generators
- Charge Pumps, Current Mirrors
- Oscillators, Comparators, Differential Amplifiers
- Work on high-speed circuit layouts including Tx, Rx, and clock generators.
- Apply strong understanding of analog layout concepts such as:
- Matching
- Electromigration
- Latch-up
- Coupling & Crosstalk
- IR Drop
- Parasitic effects (active & passive devices)
- Assess layout impact on circuit performance (speed, capacitance, power, and area).
- Manage the complete layout process including floor planning, placement, and routing.
- Ensure adherence to design rules and deliver high-quality layout outputs.
- Execute secondary layout tasks such as ECO, LCO, and DFM.
Required Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good understanding of semiconductor layout processes and design rules.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
