Senior ITOM Consultant 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ITOM Visibility & CMDB Consultant to join our ServiceNow team.

The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of IT experience, with deep expertise in ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM), 

including at least two full-cycle ITOM implementation projects. ITOM-specific certifications are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of ServiceNow ITOM Visibility solutions.

• Architect and deploy ServiceNow CMDB (Configuration Management Database), Discovery, and Service Mapping modules.

• Required knowledge on CSDM and Services framework of CMDB.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to define requirements and ensure data quality and 

governance in the CMDB.

• Plan and execute integrations with asset, monitoring, and cloud management tools.

• Advise on ITOM best practices, data normalization, reconciliation, and remediation activities.

• Mentor junior team members on ITOM, CMDB, and related ServiceNow modules.

• Prepare and deliver presentations/demos for clients and internal stakeholders.

• Document technical designs, processes, and workflows for ongoing CMDB maintenance and ITOM expansion.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5–10 years in IT, with at least two (2) end-to-end ServiceNow ITOM implementation projects.

• Certifications: Mandate ServiceNow ITOM-related certifications (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM,

Discovery, Service Mapping).

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform and ITOM suite (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB, 

Orchestration).

• Practical experience with IT infrastructure, network protocols, cloud services, and integrations.

• Strong understanding of CMDB structuring, IT asset lifecycle, and configuration management practices.

• Hands-on experience with scripting (JavaScript, Glide) and ServiceNow integrations.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensure CMDB data integrity, and drive 

actionable ITOM use cases.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with client workshops and presentations

Leadership: Experience guiding project teams and mentoring junior staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional ServiceNow certifications(e.g., Service Mapping, Discovery, Event Management).

• Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud environments.

• ITIL certification or understanding of IT Service/Operations Management frameworks.
