Alkye Technology is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Video Editor to lead our video production initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong creative vision, advanced technical expertise, and a deep understanding of brand storytelling. In this senior-level role, you will oversee video projects end-to-end, mentor junior editors, and play a key part in elevating the brand's visual identity across global platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the editing and production of high-quality video content for social media, websites, marketing campaigns, brand films, and product stories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative, marketing, product, leadership) to conceptualize, plan, and execute impactful video concepts.
- Guide the creative direction for video storytelling, ensuring content aligns with Alkye's brand voice and global standards.
- Provide mentorship, feedback, and quality oversight for junior editors and freelancers.
- Develop and maintain a consistent visual style across all video outputs.
- Select and integrate advanced sound design, music, graphics, animations, and VFX to enhance overall narrative quality.
- Manage timelines, workflows, and project priorities while maintaining delivery excellence.
- Lead brainstorming sessions and contribute strategic creative ideas for campaigns and brand initiatives.
- Stay updated with emerging editing techniques, tools, and digital trends to continuously improve output quality.
- Manage and maintain an organized video asset library, project files, and archives.
- Collaborate in pre-production planningstoryboarding, shot lists, scripting, and visual treatments.
- Perform other senior-level duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- 47+ years of proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably in an agency or fast-paced digital brand environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating advanced editing skills, storytelling expertise, and mastery of transitions, color grading, pacing, and audio design.
- High proficiency in professional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.
- Experience creating motion graphics, animations, and high-end visual effects (preferred).
- Ability to lead video projects independently while coordinating with stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team collaboration abilities.
- Excellent sense of visual composition, narrative flow, and brand aesthetics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to convert briefs into compelling visual stories.
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Video Production, or related field preferred (not mandatory).
