You will work closely with our product team to guide design decisions for our products, quickly creating initial wireframes/prototypes and iterating upon them with design principles in mind, and eventually translating them into high quality final designs
Communicate with product and management teams to determine design objectives and research priorities that directly influence the product and roadmap
Partner closely with product, business development, and customer success teams to understand our users and their needs
Partner closely with engineering to understand technical constraints and possibilities, as well as identify room for design improvement
Drive UX thinking in all aspects of product and contribute to continuous improvements in UI/UX processes
Independently conduct formal and informal user research and ensure that user feedback is useful and leveraging data and feedback to validate or revise designs
Manage regular heuristic evaluations of the product
You will take lead the charge on UX mindfulness to ensure evaluations result in continuously improving experiences
Passionately advocate on behalf of the end user
Prior experience
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field.
- 4+ years of interactive design, user research and UX design experience in a production software engineering environment, ideally in fintech.
- 2+ years managing and mentoring design team members.
- Experience scoping, planning, and leading end-to-end UI/UX activities from initial requirements to concept, interaction design, development, and post launch.
- Experience conducting formal and informal user studies/research to understand our users.
- Experience producing all aspects of design: user personas, user journeys, interaction flows, visual and information hierarchy, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UX specs, micro-interactions, responsive design on both web and mobile (Android and iOS), Design Language Systems (DLS), etc.
- Experience building best practices around developer handoffs.
- Experience in fast growing startups.
- Experience in fintech or trading and investment products.
- Experience with Figma
